When reproduction occurs, genes containing DNA are passed to an organism’s offspring., Excretion - all living things produce waste. The processes of obtaining energy all create byproducts or waste. For example, Carbon dioxide is the waste product of respiration and, in humans, is excreted through the lungs., Nutrition - All living organisms require nutrition - they may make this nutrition themselves eg plants do this through photosynthesis, or they may eat other organisms to gain nutrition.,
