It’s light and airy sound and often confused with head voice, it lies at the top of your vocal range, Glissando - A singer smoothly slides from one note to another, creating a seamless, continuous connection between the two pitches instead of singing them as distinct notes, Vocal fry - A low creaky vibration caused by fluttering vocal chords or informally known as the ‘Husky Voice’, Whistle tone - The highest register of the human voice, lying above the modal register and falsetto register, Mixed voice - A mix between head and chest voice, which allows for belting and other more intense, higher gear singing, Vibrato - Regular pulsating change of pitch to accent expression in a piece. It involves using your diaphragm and abdominal muscles to sustain a steady stream of air, which allows for control over vocal dynamics (volume), power, resonance, and the ability to sing long, complex phrases without running out of air, Melisma - The singing of a single syllable of text whilst moving to several different notes in succession, S.A.T.B - An acronym to remember the 4 vocal main vocal types seen in a choir (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) , Belting - Bringing your chest register above a moderate volume. Usually done with a mix voice, Register - A range of tones produced in the human voice by the vibrations of the vocal folds, Vocal run - A long series of notes that are sung in quick succession and stand out from the music,
