The cell begins with all the chromosomes (containing DNA) spread out in the nucleus, The cells starts to grow and the single chromosomes duplicate themselves, creating 2 identical “arms”, The chromosomes line up in the middle of the cell, Cell fibres pull all the chromosomes apart – one arm on each side, Membranes form around each set of single chromosomes, The cells divide and produce 2 new cells.
