Today we all live in the age of technology. Smartphones have become an indispensable part of people’s lives. People in Zetland use their smartphones for different purposes. My project, which I am still working on, is aimed at finding out the ways of using smartphones. I have found some data on this issue presented in the pie chart - Introduction, «It becomes clear from the diagram that people mostly use smartphones for sending emails (30%) and making phone calls (27%). At the same time the use of smartphones for purchases is the lowest (10%)» - Description of the statistics given in the table or diagram (2-3 facts), «It is worth mentioning that the difference between the percentage of the people who are mostly playing games (17%) and surfing the Internet (16%) is very small, only 1 percent. The explanation may lie in the fact that both are used mainly for entertainment» - Comparison of facts within the framework of the topic of project work and their comment, The chart clearly illustrates that people mostly use their smartphones for emails, calls and surfing the Internet. The first and the third activities might cause some damage for people’s health. One of them is sight damage. It is a fundamental problem since one should either wear glasses or to have a sight correction surgery. One of the probable solutions to the problem is doing eye gymnastics. Thus, exercises for eyes would certainly sharpen one’s eyesight. - Identification of a problem that may arise in the area under study, and the proposal of a way to solve it, The statistics of the pie-chart, in my opinion, reveal an important problem. We can see that nobody likes reading e-books on their smartphones, therefore they are missing an opportunity of reading books anywhere and at any time. I would like to say that the role of smartphones in today’s life can hardly be overestimated.
