Is informed when someone who works with children in a paid or voluntary capacity is alleged to have behaved in a way that hurt or harmed a child and potentially committed an offence. , MASH - Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) is the point of contact for for all professionals to report safeguarding concerns. , Child Protection - Protecting individual children identified as suffering, or likely to suffer, significant harm. , The Protected Characteristics - Specific attributes recognised within the Equality Act (2010) which make it unlawful for a person to be treated unfairly and protect against discrimination. , SIDS - Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (previously known as cot death) is the unexplained death of a child under one year who is otherwise healthy. , Emotional Intelligence - The ability to recognise and understand own feelings and the feelings of others and respond appropriately. , Self-regulation - Manging own thoughts, feelings, behaviours and reactions in the pursuit of short and long-term goals. The ability to demonstrate healthy coping mechanisms when faced with challenging or stressful situations. , Reasonable Adjustments - Reasonable adjustments are based upon an individual's needs. This may include making changes to the physical environment such as ramps or quiet areas like sensory rooms, routine, along with support provided throughout the day. ,
