There is a huge amount of plastic debris in the oceans, ,  and documentary film makers are keen to highlight its negative effects., Fish and turtles get caught up in plastic waste and birds eat it., However, how much direct evidence is presented for the harmful effects on marine life?, Some filmmakers have presented misleading, , emotive images, for example of dead baby whales, perhaps killed by toxins in milk., But no real link between plastic and death was provided,, only juxtaposed images., Urgent action is needed to reduce the amount of plastic in the ocean, , but reliable, scientific evidence is needed., This fakery is overshadowing the real story,, perhaps being more interested in media attention and boosting viewing figures..
