All the shops will be shut tomorrow ____ it being a national holiday. Funnily, ____ everyone is highly enthusiastic about the celebration, few are really aware of what is actually being celebrated. Still, ____ this blissful ignorance, the festivities are great fun ____ there's lots of food and drink, as well as music and people getting together to make merry. ____ of both countries' origins being tied to English colonies, Canada and the U.S.A. have noticeably different national identities. ____ it is true that foreigners can have trouble telling a Canadian from an American, people from neither country like being mistaken as coming from the other. The confusion happens mostly ____ the shared language -English- ____ nothing much else is shared in terms of what each nation is most proud of.
