1) The first part of the tour puts us on a ferry. We sail out into the harbor and our first stop is at a monument given to us by the people of another country in the late 1800's that symbolizes our freedom. What monument is it? a) Grant's Tomb b) Randall's Island c) The Statue of Liberty 2) We then take a short sail to another part of the harbor, where many of the immigrants that came to the United States from Europe in the late 1800's and early 1900s first touched American soil. What historic place is this? a) Ellis Island b) Coney Island c) Bedloes Island 3) Back on the ferry, we sail up the East River a bit, and dock near The South Street Seaport. Right near us is a bridge that was one of the first of its kind. Name it. a) Queensboro Bridge b) Brooklyn Bridge c) Manhattan Bridge 4) We are now boarded on the bus for the next part of our sightseeing tour. We head west across Manhattan to what many consider to be the financial capital of the world. Where are we now? a) Corporate America Building b) The Federal Rserve Bank c) Wall Street 5) A little further west is the largest department store in North America. It also has something to do with turkeys. Where are we now? a) Macy's b) Wal-mart c) Saks 5th Avenue 6) We head back east a bit, and come to what is considered the center of Manhattan, where a famous worldwide event takes place every "new" year. Where are we now? a) Tin Pan Alley b) Times Square c) Madison Square Garden 7) We now travel a little further east on 42nd Street to a major transportation hub, and another National Landmark. What building is this? a) Grand Central Terminal b) Penn Station c) MTA 8) We go back west, and we soon come upon a very famous theater which is part of a bigger building complex. A chorus line of girls perform here annually. Where are we now? a) Lincoln Center b) Radio City Music Hall c) Carnegie Hall 9) on the bus we head north until we arrive at one of the most famous art museums in the world, and certainly one of the largest. Which museum have we arrived at? a) Guggenheim Museum b) National Art Center c) Metropolitan Museum of Art 10) just behind the Museum of Art, on a road which takes us across a piece of property that has no houses or famous buildings, but is considered one of the most valuable properties in New York City. It is very bright and airy. What is it? a) Prospect Park b) Clove Lakes Park c) Central Park
