run - Bears can run fast and can easily catch you. Bad choice! , shout - This will frighten the bear and make it even more aggressive. Bad choice!, climb a tree - You probably haven’t climbed a tree since you were ten years old. Anyway, bears can climb trees too. Bad choice! , walk away slowly and don’t make any sudden movements  - Bears are less likely to attack if they don’t feel threatened. Lowering your gaze and wandering nonchalantly away may make the bear realise you are not a threat and leave you alone. Good choice!, fight it - The bear always wins. Bad choice!, play dead and don’t move: - Bears have bad eyesight, so if you don’t move, they are less likely to see you. Good choice!, go downwind from the bear - Bears don’t have good eyesight and rely on their sense of smell. If you’re downwind, they won’t be able to smell you. Good choice! , go upwind from the bear - No! The bear will be able to smell you and find you. Bad choice!, punch it on the nose - You shouldn’t hit the bear. Fighting back will only result in more serious injuries., talk to it gently - Bears probably don’t understand English, so it won’t help. Bad choice!,
