Parts of the castles - 1. Many castles had thick walls, small windows, and high towers. They also had dungeons to keep prisoners in. Many castles had a moat of water . People used a drawbridge to cross the moat. They entered the castle through a big gate., People in the castle - 2. Many different people lived in the castle. These included the lord and lady of the castle, and their family. Knights, cooks, servants and guards also lived in the castle. Sometimes misicians and acrobats visited the castle and performed shows. Many animals , such as dogs and chickens, lived in the castle too. The castle was a busy and noisy place.s, Daily life in the castle - 3. Inside the castle, there was a fire in every room but it was always dark and cold. The servants prepared food in the kitchen and served it on tables in the Great Hall. The lord of the castle often shared a room with his family. people didn`t wash often and they usually  dropped rubbish in the moat. For this reason the castle was also smelly and dirty.,
