1) Marilyn’s dog Rex played in the mud and got all muddy. Marilyn was worried that Rex would get the house dirty. Marilyn’s mom would not be happy about that. 2) Nina was helping her mom make a cake. They needed one egg. Nina opened the full carton of eggs. She took out one egg, but it slipped out of her hand and fell on the floor. 3) Alexander went to his friend’s birthday party and ate a big dish of cake and ice cream. He drank two glasses of juice. After he got home, he ate a lot candy from the birthday piñata. 4) Billy worked on the science experiment with his partner Diane. Then the teacher told all the students to come back to the big table by the chalkboard. The teacher asked if someone could explain what happened in the experiment. 5) Rebecca has a math test. She practiced her math facts every night. Rebecca also does her math homework every night. 6) Marta got a new puppy! Marta named her new puppy Gus. Gus ran all around Marta’s house and made himself at home. But he might have gotten too comfy! Gus started to chew up many of Marta’s toys 7) Martin planted flower seeds in his garden. He wanted to grow red and yellow flowers. Martin put the seeds in the dirt. He watered his garden every day. 8) It’s time for Tyra’s party! Her cake is ready to go and she can’t wait to see her friends. But Tyra can’t find the party favors! She’s looked everywhere, but they’re nowhere to be found. 9) Mrs. Barry told the class to be quiet while she stepped out, or they would be in trouble. When Mrs. Barry got back to the classroom, all she heard was laughing and shouting.
