UROTHELIAL CARCINOMA - Starts in the urothelial cells lining the bladder wall. Sometimes call transitional cell carcinoma. Can be papillary or flat. Sometimes can occur in the ureters and kidneys, PAPILLARY UROTHELIAL CARCINOMA - Grows in slender, finger-like projections toward the center of the bladder, FLAT UROTHELIAL CARCINOMA - Carcinoma in situ. Grows flat on the wall of the bladder, SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA - Starts in the thin, flat cells in the lining of the bladder.
