Wolves mostly live in remote areas. You can see on the wilderness maps that places coloured ____ are places that are in the top ____ of wilderness areas in Europe. The top wilderness areas include much of Scandinavia, northern Spain and parts of ____ According to my hypothesis these areas should be the main habitats for wolves. The places with the least amount of wilderness are coloured ____ On the map of population in the atlas on page 89 the dense areas have over ____ people living there. Some of Europe's most densely populated places are the areas around Paris, ____ Italy and the ____ countries. My theory argues that these places should be the ____ likely places for wolves to live. The second map shows the main wolf ranges. The largest habitat is found in ____ Europe in the Baltic region. In northern Iberia there is an estimated pack of ____ wolves. Surprisingly they don't live in the Pyrenees mountain range that straddles the Spanish ____ border. This indicates that wolves habitats do not tend to be high mountains. A good example of an area that is both a top wilderness area and a mountain range are the ____ range that is home to an estimated ____ wolves. This ____ European pack live in countries such as Bulgaria and ____ This evidence supports my hypothesis. An area that disproves my hypothesis is northern Scandinavia. This area has the largest ____ area of wilderness and the population map of Europe indicates this area has a density of under ____ per square kilometre. However, only the southern and mid areas have wolves. Even then this pack is only ____ strong. There are no wolves in ____ Also, the central European ____ are home to at least ____ wolves. However, some of this area is coloured green indicating there is wilderness even in places like Hungary or ____. On the population map of page 89 of the Atlas this region is mostly coloured orange with a population of ____ per square kilometre. Places coloured dark ____ have no wolf packs when you compare the two maps. These are places like the area around ____ and ____ Italy on the Po plain. This supports my hypothesis. However, parts of the ____ stretches across northern Germany into densely populated Netherlands. This suggests the picture is more ____ than my hypothesis suggested. To conclude, my evidence indicates that wolves do indeed live in areas that are mostly in the top 10% of wilderness areas but not always. Few live in ____ populated places but some do. The largest wilderness areas do not necessarily mean that they are suitable habitats for wolves. An example of this is ____ Scandinavia. However, most wolves do indeed live in remote areas.
