The setting must also have fire safety signs and instructions in every room., Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 - All settings are required to have a first aid box and appoint at least one trained first-aider to take on the responsibility should there be an accident., The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 (HASAWA) - Provides general health and safety guidance. Specifies duties that employers and employees must fulfil. States that all employees must follow the setting's health and safety procedures and use the safety equipment provided., Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 2004 - These determine how chemicals such as bleaches and cleaning products are used and stored and how the disposal of nappies is managed within settings., Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR) 1995 - The setting must have an accident report book. If an employee receives an injury that means they are unable to work for 3 days or more, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) must be informed of this injury.,
