Educational psychologist - They are allocated through the local SEN department. They will support the SENCO in providing assessments and observations to pupils., Speech and Language Therapist (SLTs) - They will work with students on speech, language an d communication problems., Specialist teachers - May come into school to offer advice and support students. For example: EAL , Education Welfare Officer (EWO) - They will usually be based within local authorities and will work with Head Teacher if problems with absenteeism. , Physiotherapists/occupational therapists - Healthcare professionals, Social worker - to strengthen pastoral support in school settings; provide advice and support to students, parents and staff; support earlier identification of children requiring social work intervention; and through this, facilitate better relationships and improve outcomes., SENCO - The person responsible for assessing, planning and monitoring the progress of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)., School nurses - They work with school-aged children and young people and their families to improve health and wellbeing outcomes and reduce inequalities and vulnerabilities,
