1) There are four different types of bones. The first are called long bones, they provide strength, support, and structure. Second comes short bones, consisting mostly of spongy bone they are usually cube shaped and are mostly located in the hands and feet. Flat bones are usually provided for protecting inner organs and are a flat, thin shape. Lastly come irregular bones, because of their shape they don't fit into any of the previously mentioned categories but usually work to protect the inner organs.   2) Muscles are a very important part of our body. There are three different kinds, starting with cardiac muscle. Cardiac muscle is only found in the heart and is involuntary, meaning it moves under no control. Smooth muscles, coming next, are usually found on the walls of hollow organs and are a necessity for digestion and function. Skeletal muscle is under voluntary control and is a from of striated muscle tissue most commonly found between bones. 3) Neurons are necessary for function and survival. The cell body, which is the neurons core, provides genetic information and provides energy for activities. The axon joins at the cell body and is the place where electrical impulses depart to find their way to other neurons. Dendrites process and obtain information received from the axons of other neurons.  4) Our bones are complex physical structures that make up our body. Bones are made mostly of collagen, a structural protein found in our body. Bones are made flexible because of a substance called calcium. It makes our bones bendy and sturdy enough to not break easily. Inside the bone is marrow, a soft, fatty substance that produces blood cells. Our whole body works together to make the best possible machine.   5) Believe it or not, muscles actually help us regulate our body temperature. Muscles generate heat when our nerves send a signal to our brain that we are cold. They do so by seizing and releasing in very quick motions. We know this movement as shivering. Moving your muscles is the best way to warm up if cold, and our body does that for us if we aren't doing it for ourselves. That just shows the amazing ways our bodies have adapted to make our lives comfier and easier.
