1., The witches predict that Macbeth will be King, 2., Lady Macbeth persuades Macbeth to kill King Duncan to get the Throne, 3., Macbeth kills the King, blames the guards and is made King, 4., Macbeth orders the death of Banquo, because the witches said that Banquo would father a ‘line of Kings’ so Macbeth was scared Banquo would kill him, so his children could be King., 5., Banquo is killed but Fleance escapes. Macbeth sees Banquo’s ghost at a banquet, 6., Macbeth returns to the witches and they tell him three prophecies, 7., Macbeth feels better and orders the death of Macduff and family, but Macduff has gone to England, 8., Lady Macbeth appears to be losing her mind. Malcolm, son of Duncan and Macduff plan to attack the castle, 9., Birnam woods move towards the castle, as Malcolm and Macduff instruct their army to camouflage.
