Nucleus - In Eukaryotic cells, contains the DNA, Ribosomes - Makes proteins, Mitochondria - Makes ATP energy from glucose and oxygen, Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum - Involved in protein production, folding and transport, Golgi Apparatus - Modifies proteins and lipids and packages them into vesicles for transport, Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum - Produces hormones, lipids and helps to detoxify the cell, Cell Membrane - Semi-permeable barrier that control what enters and exits the cell, Lysosomes - Breaks down old cells parts, macromolecules and other materials. Helps to destroy viruses and bacteria, Nucleolus - Manufactures ribosomes and rRNA, Cytoplasm - Fluid inside of the cell composed of water and dissolved nutrients and macromolecules, Eukaryotic cells - Cell that contain a nucleus and other membrane bound organelles. Animals, plants, fungi and protists are made of these, Prokaryotic cells - Cells that do not have a nucleus membrane bound organelles.
