Movement: plants do not move around as they are anchored by roots in th soil to get water and mineral salts. But animals can move freely on water, land or air. 2. Nutrition: Most plants are green in colour because they contain chlorophyll. Plants make their own food duirng the process of phyotosynthesis. Plants need sunlight, carbondioxide and water and mineral salts to make their own food. Anmals cannot make their own food. They have to get food by eating palnts and other animals. 3. Reporduction: flowering palnts reproduce by producing flowers and seeds while other plants produce spore. Some plants produce vegetatively. It is when a part of the plant grows into a new plant. Animals produce by giving birth to live young or by laying eggs or by dividing their bodies into two.
