Co regulation is , when an adult helps a child manage their emotions, behavior, and reactions until the child can do it independently., Self regulation is , the ability to control feelings and behavior, When supporting co regulation we should , stay calm and consistent - use slow and supportive strategies , Behaviour is , the way a child acts, responds, and interacts with others and their environment. It includes how they express needs, emotions, thoughts, and reactions through actions, words, and body language, Children aged 4-5 should display , improved self control, better friendships and be able to follow rules more consistently , The practitioners role is to , role model positive behaviours, identify stressors, communicate with parents and remain consistent , Instead of saying you're okay , we should try co regulation , Children aged 2-3 may, have tantrums as a sign of frustration .
