☀️ Before leaving Munich, Herr Delbrück warns the narrator to return before nightfall because the weather may suddenly change., 🛣️ The narrator notices a little-used road leading into a valley and asks Johann to take it, but Johann desperately tries to stop him., ✝️ Johann explains that the area is connected with people who committed suicide and were buried at a crossroads., 🐺 The horses become extremely restless when they hear a strange sound that sounds like a wolf. Johann says there should be no wolves in the area., 🌩️ Dark clouds suddenly appear and a cold wind blows. Johann predicts that a snowstorm is coming and urges the narrator to continue the journey., ⚰️ Johann explains that the abandoned village is considered unholy because strange things supposedly happened to people who were buried there., 🧛 Johann tells the narrator about the old village where dead people were supposedly found looking strangely alive, causing the inhabitants to flee., 🚶 The narrator decides to continue alone, takes his walking stick and tells Johann to return to Munich.
