As we all know, being ____ doesn't always equal being successful in school. People have different strengths and weaknesses. Having a huge IQ ____ sounds great, but what does that exactly mean? What do we know about that person? Which characteristics does the IQ score describe? Do we know what that person is actually good at? Not really. An attempt to change the way we understand intelligence comes from Harvard psychologist Howard Gardner who has identified eight ____ intelligences. His theory is based on cognitive research and, in his own words, 'documents the extent to which students possess different kinds of minds and therefore learn, remember, perform, and understand in different ____'.  Gardner claims that 'we're all able to know the ____ through language, logical-mathematical analysis, spatial representation, musical thinking, the use of the body to solve problems or to make things, an understanding of other individuals, and an understanding of ourselves. Where individuals differ is in the strength of these intelligences or the so-called ____ of intelligences and in the ways in which such intelligences are invoked and combined to carry out different tasks, solve diverse problems, and progress in various domains'.
