Machine Guns, could be mounted to planes/tanks, used to defend trenches, not new technology in WW1 but improved, Gas, needs ideal weather, may blow back on your own side, designed to injure, not kill, offensive use- drive troops out of trench, Airplanes, reconnaissance, attempted to add machine guns to it, were slow, during the war, lots of improvements made, Submarines, used by Germans, stopped British trade, unterseeboot, had to produce a lot very quickly , Trenches, defensive use, hard for either side to gain ground, complex systems , used zigzag design, Tanks, invented during WW1, rushed design led to mechanical failure, supposed to help get through No Man's Land, not as effective as they hoped.
