Variable, is anything that may change or may be changed from one condition to another, either qualitatively or quantitatively., Independent Variable, Anything, condition, or process which is controlled, manipulated and intentionally varied by the experimenter, Dependent Variable, Anything, a condition, or process exposed to or upon which treatments or actions from the Independent Variable are applied, Control Group, exposed to the same conditions as the experimental group, except for the variable being tested., Negative Control Group, a control group that is not exposed to the experimental treatment or to any other treatment that is expected to have an effect, Positive Control Group, control group that is not exposed to the experimental treatment but that is exposed to some other treatment that is known to produce the expected effect., Constants, all the factors that the experimenter attempts to keep the same., Trials, refer to replicate groups that are exposed to the same conditions in an experiment., Experimental Group, group of participants or subjects that receives the treatment, intervention, or variable being tested by the researchers.
