tossed back the tray - throwing something onto the tray (a flat container), fingers curled into a fist - fingers are bent to make the hand ready for a blow/physical attack, sad and contemptuous smile - a smile that is reflective of a person’s overwhelming disappointment and anger , bounced and rebounded softly - a movement of something going away and back after hitting and in a faint sound, face that is perflexed and worried - - an emotion (seen on the face) showing disbelief and uneasiness  , heard a little grumble - a slight complaint (angrily) because the situation is unsatisfactory, felt a tremor of fear - a feeling of extreme fear that is obvious/very observable, felt a creeping of fate - a feeling of bad luck out of a situation, circling of wolves - a feeling of helplessness or a sense of an imminent entrapment and attack , the hover of vultures - a feeling that a person is to be taken advantaged due to severe loss of something (money), evil coagulating about him -  a feeling that one is so unlucky and will suffer from it, crowd wavered and broke - a reaction of giving up on something due to its unpleasant outcome , felt a little tugging at his back -  a situation in which one is being reminded of something secretly, snatched the pearl from his hand - a sudden action of taking something away, rage blood pounded on his ears - an extreme feeling of anger (just like a blood gushing), trotting after him - an effort of catching up with someone who is hurriedly walking away , a pigheaded fool -  a person who is stubborn and cannot be easily convinced, nodded gravely - a movement of the head to show agreement and caution, words have strange chill in them - what is said are words that are reminding of a bitter past or uncertain future , lethargy had settled on him -  one has lost enthusiasm and energy to go on, shadowy and dreadful - pertaining to dangerous individual/situation and unpleasant circumstance, heard the grunting struggle -  a movement indicating physical fight between 2 people, clothes are half pulled off - an appearance indicating extreme movement so that the clothes are in disarray (not in their proper location) , eyes that glowed fiercely - an indication that some danger is being felt as shown by the eyes , face grew crafty - an appearnce showing that something is over or completed or done in a very difficult way, she said huskily - speaking in a low-toned fashion but with urgency in the tone ,
