Communicative Language TEaching (CLT) - My English teacher gets us to do a lot of group work that relates to our real life situations: we do lots of role-plays and practice everyday tasks such as disagreeing and summarizing., Total Physical Response (TPR) - In my class, the teacher always does a series of physical gestures connected to a topic that we need to copy and after a while we have to repeat the words too. It can be fun., Suggestopedia - Our teacher makes the classroom comfortable by bringing in big cushions and allowing us to get away from our desks. We are also allowed to work on tasks at our own pace and music plays in the background while we work., Silent way - My teacher tries to get us to learn on our own or in groups. We aren’t told grammar rules, but have to figure them out ourselves. The teacher doesn’t talk too much, but has special tools to help us learn pronunciation., Audio Lingual Method (ALM) - Our class is full of talking. We repeat a lot and we nicknamed the teacher “Drill Sargent”. We can sometimes understand grammar rules after hearing lots of examples., Direct Method (DM) - “English Only” is the rule in our class. I agree this is good to help us learn, but I feel it is stressful at times too. Our teacher helps us to understand by using lots of videos and flashcards., Content Based Instruction (CBI) - My teacher always tries to find out what other subjects we are interested in plans our lessons according to that. We have had a health class to learn “Feeling” vocabulary and a science class was used to practice passive voice., Grammar Translation Method (GTM) - Our teacher explains grammar in our native language which makes it easy for me to understand. We also do lots of reading, writing and vocabulary tasks that are helpful. We don’t get much speaking practice though.,
