Goals: Through the process of planning, drafting, editing, and revising, our writing improves over time., Ability to understand how a past event or series of events correlate with present and or later events., Students will be able to use collaboration and critical thinking to understand historical events., By the end of the unit, students will understand the five stages of design., By the middle of the unit, students will learn about how products are different in different countries/cultures., Objectives: By the end of the unit, students will be able to identify the stages of design by looking at example videos and create a poster or digital infographic showing the steps., By the end of the unit, students will be able to go through the stages of design and create a product which appropriately solves our design workshop problem., By the end of the unit, students will be able to identify how products have changed throughout time, compare and contrast the changes and categorize the differences using a t-chart or a Venn diagram., By the middle of the unit, students will be able to articulate whether they think a specific product has changed for the better and justify their answers., By the second week, students will identify recyclable materials and illustrate how their uses can be modified into a new product.,
