Ratio is a comparison between two different quantities.  - Ratio does show the comparison of two different quantities, it can come in simplification form, or the normal form. , Ratio can be transformed into fractions by dividing the two numbers. - No! it cannot. You can transform them into fractions yes, but not divide them into one. , Fractions are part of a whole, they have a denominator and a numerator. - Fractions have three types. mixed, as the one shown in the picture, improper, such as 13 over 12, and proper such as 6 over 12, but in simplified form, it is 1 over 2!, How does addition of fraction work? - Addition of fraction firstly works by having the same denominator. If the denominator is not same, we have to firstly find the same factor of both denominators, then once done, multiply the amount you multiplied your denominator with your numerator, then add. (both fractions do this process.), How does ratios work? - Simplifying ratios, firstly find its factor, then simplify it., If a ratio has an unsolved quantity, taking a question like, "bag A is 4:3 more heavier then bag B. Bag B is 12:5 more heavier then bag C. How heavy is Bag A to Bag B to Bag C?" - firstly, we put labels on top of our ratios, then put 4:3 under A and B, 4 under A, and 3 under B. then put B:C / 12:5 under their perspective labels. Then, find their closest multiplied factor. 3 is 12, so B stays 12,, whilst 4 is multiplied by 4, as 3 x 4 = 12. then C, stays 5., How does multiplying fractions work? - Firstly, we multiply the denominators, then the numerators. then the result is given!, How does division of fraction work? - KEEP, CHANGE, FLIP. KCF! A method to best remember your divisions, keep change and flip. firstly, you keep your first term (first fraction on the equation you have), change the division sign to a multiplication sign, flip the last term / fraction on your equation.
