Kensuke was born in Japan, in Nagasaki., He grew up in this little town and studied medicine in Tokyo., He became a doctor and then went to London to study more., After he came back from London, he married to his wife, Kimi and had his son, Michiya., They were happy but then the World War II started., All Japanese men joined the army. Kensuke went to navy; he worked as a doctor on a warship., Unfortunately American planes bombed his warship awent to navynd everybody died on the ship except for Kensuke., Now, Kensuke was alone and he didn't know how to sail and the ship went by itself., While sailing alone on the ship, he listened to the news and learned that atomic bomb was dropped in Nagasaki., When he listened to the radio, Kensuke thought that all his family died. Soon, the engine stopped and a very big storm started and the waves took the ship to the island., When he first came to the island, Kensuke didn't want to live anymore but later he met orangutans. They were very kind to Kensuke., Kensuke felt happy when he met the orangutans and he got many things from the ship and hid them in the cave that he found., Kensuke got used to live in the cave on the island but one day American soldiers came and he hid in the forest. They were happy because everybody died in Nagasaki., After the American soldiers left, Kensuke started to live all alone and built a different bond with the orangutans and he learned a lot from them., While Kensuke was living with the orangutans happily, this time killer men came years later and they killed many mother orangutans., After the killer men left the island, Kensuke started to hate people. One day, he went fishing by his boat but couldn't come back because of a strong wind. He was frightened and started to sing. Then, he saw a light and heard singing. Finally, he found Michael and Stella nearly dead in the sea and rescued them. .
