Requirements Specification - The requirements represent the application from the perspective of the user, or the business as a whole. Requirements are what your program should do , Software Specification - A software specification which can be used by the development team to create the completed application. Describes exactly what the software will be able to do, and will often also describe how long it will take to build and how much it will cost, Purpose - The purpose of the program is stating what the software should do once completed. The details for this are written in the scope, boundaries and functional requirements, Scope - The Scope of a project details what needs to be produced and delivered. A list of the deliverables that the project will hand over to the client and/or end-user, eg design, completed program, test plan, test results and evaluation report. It can also include any time limits for the project., Boundaries - the limits that help to define what is in the project and what is not. It can also clarify any constraints made by the software developers regarding the client’s requirements., Constraints - limitations that affect the development of a product (Time, Cost, Legal Position, Development Environment)), Functional Requirements - Describes how the software should function or perform, End User Requirements - Detail the tasks that end-users need to be able to carry out are known as the end-user requirements. The group of people most likely to use the software, Feasibility Studies - Technical, Economic, Legal, Time, Economic Feasibility - This deals with the cost implications involved. Management will want to know how much each option will cost, what is affordable within the company's budget and what they get for their money., Time Feasibility - The time required to develop a new system must be within desired completion date and this date must be reasonable., Legal Feasibility - The proposed system must comply with current laws, Technical Feasibility - Technical feasibility is the formal process of assessing whether it is technically possible to manufacture a product or service. Determine whether they have the technical resources to convert the idea into a fully functional and profitable working system, Scheduling - involves making sure that no team is left idle waiting for another team to finish their part, Gantt Charts - diagrams used to represent the scheduling of tasks and sub tasks along with start and completion dates,
