CSSCascading Style Sheets - is a design language intended to simplify the process of making web pages presentable, Element - An HTML element is defined by a starting tag eh <html>, Benefits of CSS include - Consistent formatting throughout a website and Changes to one style sheet will be automatically applied to all relevant pages – saving time, External CSS - A file is created .css and is linked to our .html pages., Internal CSS - The style of CSS is specified in the <head> section of the html page., Inline CSS - The style of CSS is within the html element, Selector - What HTML element <tag> you want to change the look of e.g. p, h1, ol, li etc., Property - the aspect of that tag you would like to change e.g. font-family, font-size, background-color etc., Value - what you would like to change that property to e.g. green, 12pt, helvetica etc., font-family - Changes the font of the text, font-size - Changes the size of the font, units can be in px, pt, em., color - Changes the colour of text. Colour name as well as hex codes can be used., text-align - Aligns the text either left, right or to the ‘center’, background-color - Changes the colour of background.
