I’m like a communication hub that links the nervous system to the endocrine system through the pituitary gland., I’m a small gland in your brain and I’m responsible for helping you sleep., I produce insulin (to lower blood sugar) and glucagon (to raise blood sugar)., I produce cortisol for stress, aldosterone for blood pressure, and adrenaline for the “fight or flight” response., I produce thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3) to control your metabolism., I produce estrogen and progesterone, which control menstruation and pregnancy., I produce testosterone, which regulates sperm production and secondary sexual characteristics like facial hair.
