Evaporation: The water cycle starts with evaporation, In this process, water at the surface turns into water vapour., Water absorbs heat from the sun and turns into vapour from the oceans, the seas, the lakes and the rivers., Condensation: As the water evaporates and climbs high, the temperature reduces and then the water vapour changes into tiny water droplets in the sky., These droplets form clouds and fog in the sky., In this process, water changes from gas to liquid., Precipitation: When the clouds cannot hold any more water droplets, it becomes rain, snow or hails and fall down from the sky., Runoff: The runoff forms water channels on the surface of the Earth and then rivers and ends up in lakes, seas and oceans., As the water pours down, it runs over the grounds., Percolation: Sometimes, the water turns into groundwater. Water flows underground and the cycle starts again.,
